WEEKEND BREAK IN DUBLIN

Updated: Sep 19, 2018

So heres what I got up to in the capital of Ireland, like any other capital city there's lots of cool things to see and do, but if you're not a morning person then don't worry as the nightlife is the main highlight!

8:10AM Flight from BHX to DUB - Lets go!

Early flight? You're telling me, the 40 minute flight time sounds like a perfect time for a power nap if you ask me

9:00AM Arrive at Dublin Airport, straight to temple bar we go.

Temple bar is the main tourist hot spot well known for it's nightlife, pubs and traditional Irish music everywhere you turn.

1:00PM Jamesons' Factory

After dropping our bags and having a few hours to soak in the atmosphere around one of the oldest parts of Dublin, we made our way to the Jamesons' Factory which turned out to a lot further away than we anticipated but we made our tour albeit only just.

5:00PM Time to go and get ready for the night.

After Dinner it was time to hit the pubs and listen to some Irish music, so lets go experience this so called world class Irish atmosphere!

And so that night included ALOT more Guinness and G&T's...

1:00PM Off to the Aviva Stadium

And so feeling worse for wear we headed out to the Aviva Stadium, because it would not be a city break if my partner didn't drag me to another sporting stadium now would it?

Aviva Stadium has a capacity for 51,700 and is the national stadium of Ireland for both Rugby and Football, with only the latter that we are interested in.

3:00PM As you can probably guess from the theme of the holiday, we headed back to the Temple Bar District for yet more drinking and listening to the live music and well the less I say about that evening the better!

And so our short break came to an end, far too quickly for our liking. We've spent the last week reminiscing and wishing we was back there, but I'm sure booking another break will take our mind off it!
